The Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance (SABA) is a membership-based, non-profit initiative of RMI and Environmental Defense Fund with the mission to accelerate the path to net zero air transport by driving investment in high quality SAF.

SABA member companies include corporate aviation customers (Customers) as well as airlines, air carriers, and aviation-related manufacturers (Aviators). Through this RFP, SABA Customers seek proposals for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) certificates (SAFc) representing the Scope 3 environmental attributes of SAF.   

These Scope 3 SAFc are intended to be used to address emissions from employee travel or air freight over a multi-year period, ideally between the years 2024 through 2028. Collectively, SABA Customers are seeking to procure SAFc equaling approximately the following quantities of CO2e emissions reductions, on a full life cycle basis, i.e. well-to-wake.
